Welcome to the Lighthouse 8 blog, where hopefully we can both find and share the light. When I had initially decided upon the idea for this blog, it was based upon the call of God to be a blessing to those around us. With so much darkness in the world, I thought what better way to spread light - God's word, hope, faithfulness, struggles, questions, and answers - than to create a place online that can help guide people who are lost, much like a lighthouse guides ships in the night at sea. It's an extensive metaphor I plan to fully explore with my following posts.
I may have started this blog with the intention to reach others, but lately I couldn't help but feel a little lost myself. In the coming months, I face graduation, marriage, paying off debt, moving, finding a job, and other "real world" issues that are, to say the least, intimidating. Thus, I begin this journey by your side, in hopes that I too will find some peace and guidance along the way. I look forward to sharing thoughts and inspiration with you and encourage you to comment and share in this conversation about finding whatever it is your heart and soul is searching for.
